The Gulf Coast Feline Foundation is a Texas 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes the Collaboration, Appreciation, Responsibility, and Education of the feline community. Our fundraising aids in the support of Feline Infectious Peritonitis, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, Anti-declaw, Husbandry, and local rescues. Our goal is to promote feline health, research, legal and protective issues via cat shows, Gulf Coast pet events and community awareness.
The Gulf Coast Feline Foundation has partnered with the City of Deer Park and Happy Alternative Cat Club to host our first annual CFA cat show,
Fall, Felines, and Fun!, on September 15-16, 2018, at the Jimmy Burke Center in Deer Park, Texas. A second show, which will also be partnered with
the City of Deer Park, will be held with The International Cat Association on January 26-27, 2019.
Over 100 exhibitors from around the region will be showing their purebred and household pet cats featuring 40 different breeds such as the Bengal, Maine Coon, Ragdoll, Oriental Shorthair, Himalayan, Japanese Bobtail, Persian, Devon Rex.
In addition, we will be partnering with local shelters/rescues in order to raise funds, collect food donations, and provide opportunities for adoption. There will be a focus on educating the public regarding different cat breeds as well as proper pet care and nutrition.
Our vendors will be selling many amazing items for both humans and our furry friends. Also, we will be serving concessions with our famous Texas style brisket and barbeque, and will have a fantastic raffle with many opportunities to win prizes. Several contests will be going on throughout the day where spectators can cast their vote for favorite cat, friendliest exhibitor, cage decorations, and more.
